Deserted in Jun 1863, but returned to duty on an unspecified date. Captured at Wilderness, VA, 6 May 1864. Confined at Point Lookout, Maryland, until transferred to Elmira, NY, 23 July 1864. Died at Elmira on 12 Sep 1864, of "chronic diarrhoea.
