!NOTE - Obituary from The Arizona Republic: William Thompson Holland, Jr. MD:
William Thompson Holland, Jr. M.D., 82, of Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away November 28, 2010. A veteran of the US Air Force, he received his Medical Degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA., completed his residency at the Cleveland Clinic, then practiced Ophthalmology in Meadville, PA until his retirement in 1991.
“Bill” individually composed and recorded hundreds of songs, then began collaborating with several local artists after moving to Scottsdale in 1993. He was also a volunteer pianist at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale.
Bill is survived by his wife of 57 years, Melba Jean (“Happy”), sister Pat Halverson, of Nashville, TN; his children, Tim, of Baltimore, MD; Kim Rosa, of Upland, CA; Todd, of Los Angeles, CA; Tom, of Scottsdale, AZ. and his 7 grandchildren.
