There is a marriage license for John Edmons and Polly Carden dated Dec. 21, 1801 in Oglethorpe, Georgia. In the papers concerning the will of William Carden is a power of attorney issued by John Emmons of Monroe County, Ala., to act in his behalf and it seems that John received a cash legacy.
