!Looking Glass, Sept 6, 1969 - by Ceil Felt (granddau) of Waukee: Mr and Mrs B. F. Jones, Sr. were married on October 21, 1869 in Champaign Co., Illinois and came to Dallas County Iowa in 1877. In 1882 they bought the farm southwest of Waukee, now owned by George Hawbaker. The land was purchased for $12.00 an acre and a new four bedroom house was built for $1,000, which still stands on this farm.
