!Obituary: THE NEWS-COMMERCIAL, Collins, Mississippi newspaper, Friday November 13, 1959, volumn 58, number 12, page 1 - A.P. RIDGEWAY DIES AT SANFORD:
Alexander Pearson Ridgeway, born in Lauderdale County, Miss., January 3, 1875, passed away November 10th at his home in Sanford. Mr. Ridgeway, who has been in ill health for the past 18 months, was the son of William Wallace Ridgeway and his wife, Sarah Elizabeth Darwin.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. from the Sanford Methodist Church with Rev. T.R. Pugh, Pastor, and Rev. Earl Hatfield, former pastor, officiating.
On May 26, 1903, Mr. Ridgeway was married to Vannie Mae Morris, who died September 29. They moved to Sanford about 46 years ago.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Charles Giltner, Creston, Iowa and Mrs. Thelma Brink, San Antonio, Texas; one son, Rheupert Ridgeway, Jackson; two sisters, Miss Bettie Ridgeway and Mrs. S.C. Lowery and one brother, Robert Ridgeway, all of Moselle; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Interment was in Bryant cemetery.
