Notes for Thomas Beals

NOTE: 1748 Thomas Beals & family moved to NC in 1748 1753 He became a minister, at New Garden, NC & preached in & near there for probably 30 yrs, & made several lenghty religious visits to the Indian Nations. In 1775 he went with several nephews to pay religious visits to the Shawee, Delaware, & other tribes. They were captured & taken to Clinch Mt, VA & charged with being confederates w/hostile Indians. They were released after a sermon & proceeded into Ohio & eastern Indiana. In 1781 moved to BlueStone,VA then to TN, VA and died in 1801.
