He was born in Canada and move to Boston in the early 1910's. Then moved to California in about 1924. He worked for the Herald Examiner (a newspaper in Los Angeles, CA). He was a linotype operator and retired in the early 1960s. He live in Los Angeles most of his adult life and move to South Gate in the early 1950s where he lived until his death. His wife survived him by 9 years. He enjoyed life and was a good dancer. He held many parties and had family and friends over frequently. He was a pioneer in radio while in Boston in the 1910-1920 years, but never entered the field full time. He dabbled in the field all his life. He liked to take Sunday drives and vacations by auto.
