Notes for Richard Jones

!Charles Brashear (SDSU): Richard Jones was trustee of the estate of John Hunt
during the minority of Hunt's sons (Calvert Co. Wills, Book 11, pg 289;
Maryland Calendar of Wills, V.3, pg. 3) This suggests that Richard was born
sometime in the 1670s or before.
!Maryland HR Testamentary Proceedings (Prince Georges Co.); Book 31, pg 194):
On 25 Mar. 1741, Richard Jones his will and testament - by Ann Jones his extrx
with John Brashears and Edward Willson of PGCo. her sureties - 200 pounds.
!Prince Georges Co. Deeds, Book Y, pg 493: 7 July 1742, "I, Ann Jones, widow,
in consideration of love, Goodwill, and Affection I have for my loving Brother
in Law, Samuel Brashears Senr. (husband of her sister, Elizabeth and her own
double first cousin) [first reserving unto myself the Right of Repossession]
have given, granted, etc. during my natural life ... a parcel of land in PGCo.
called "Jones Field" together with buildings, etc. And also all the Negro
servants, horses, cattle, hoggs, household stuff and chattels
whatsoever."/signed/ Ann (X) Jones..
